I’m not very good at taking photos of my boys…candid ones that is.  Normally it is a struggle to get a good portrait, and usually that involves some bribery. Hey, whatever it takes, right? When I do take pictures of them at random they stay on my hard drive and no one ever sees them. This is one reason I really want my clients to have Wall Portraits! I think there are so many out there like me who just keep them on a cd and they grow so fast, it’s important to look at them on your walls. Anywhoo, back to my post…

My boys LOVE zucchini muffins. I make the mini muffins and then pop them in the freezer. Yum! So, Ethan and I made muffins. He has developed quite an interest in helping in the kitchen, so I want to cultivate that as much as possible. He did an excellent job putting the batter in the muffin tins, didn’t even get any batter on the pans! Caleb had to try it, but decided he would rather read.

Caleb has always liked to read, but since moving to Colorado Springs and having Miss A as a teacher he is reading these huge books! I’m ecstatic! I love to read and would be thrilled if my boys do to. Caleb’s comprehension is outstanding! He has to take a test at the end of each book to gauge how well they understood the book. He always aces them.  I love these pictures of Caleb reading, even though they are nothing fancy, the lighting is not perfect, they capture him.

These boys are my miracles! Even though some days they make me want to pull my hair out I love them more than words can say and I’m so thankful to be their mom!!

We are finally settled here in our new home and I have been itching to get out and shoot in my new surroundings. I know it is still early spring and not much is green, but I couldn’t wait any longer. Since we know just a few people I asked our friends’ daughters if they would be interested in modeling for me. I was so excited when they said yes! These are some of the sweetest, kindest and most lovely girls I know. They have the perfect location for a session with a stream and a horse! And when it greens up we will be heading back for sure!
